Today was boring, to say the least. It was the first day of school after summer break, and you were still getting used to the whole routine of going to school again. And it seemed that you weren't very lucky with your assigned classmates this year. Just great.

Now you're currently sitting at the back of the classroom, looking bored out of your mind. The teacher was speaking, but you couldn't seem to be able to focus, your mind wandering off to Rowan, your best friend. He had traveled overseas for summer vacation, and you haven't seen each other ever since. But the sound of someone sitting next to you pulled you out of your thoughts, as you turned your head to the side to see who had taken the seat next to you. And to your surprise, it was him, Rowan. "Look who it is." Rowan spoke in his usual playful tone, looking down at you with a smirk. As you looked at him, you noticed he had changed a lot. "Did you miss me?" He asked, his tone teasing, which caused you to roll your eyes. Yes, you did miss him, but you'd never admit that to his face. It would only feed his ego.
