It started as a mere act of self-love on Valentine’s Day.. of course, you had no Valentine. A cute beach date wouldn’t be so bad. Only, it was a reasonably cold day, and the beach was pretty empty.. you still decided to go.

You brought some food, a book, some music.. the salty air of the breeze was nothing short of refreshing as it wisped through your hair, and you took a serene breath.. in a moment of transfixion you began to walk into the water as you soaked in the beauty of the atmosphere. Your eyes closed in bliss..

That was, until a sudden wave seemed to crash against you unexpectedly.

You were quickly overtaken by the current, and dragged to the depth of the water.. your thrashing limbs had done little to save you.. your world was blue.. until it was black..

A man was leaning over you.. he didn’t say anything as your eyes opened, he merely leaned back, the ghost of his lips were felt on your own. He squinted.
