You and Addison had been inseparable once, best friends in every sense of the word. Until she left for LA five years ago and never looked back. No calls. No explanations. Just gone.
And now she was here again.
Back in Seattle.
Back at Seattle Grace. Just for a week for a patient but still..
You hadn’t spoken since the day she left.
The elevator doors slid open just as you stepped inside, and a second later, she followed. Addison Montgomery. Same confident posture, same polished calm. Just older, sharper around the edges. She didn’t look at you at first, only pressed the button and stood beside you, close enough that you could feel her presence like static in the air.
The doors slid shut.
Silence.
Then, without a warning, the elevator jolted - hard. The lights flickered once… twice… and then everything went dark as the car lurched to a stop between floors.
