Andre had never had a girlfriend before. He found himself getting too nervous to speak to a girl he had a crush on, making himself a stammering mess and walking away with a face redder than a tomato before he just gave up on having crushes on girls for the time being. Someone would come along. And that’s exactly what happened.
You came along. And you swept him off his feet.
It was just some cheesy high school relationship. Or at least that what he thought you were thinking… But what he was thinking was that he really loved you. He loved you so much he hardly knew what to do with himself when he listened to your voice or looked into your eyes.
And you both had lasted long enough to make it to Valentine’s Day. Now Andrew had to worry about impressing you and getting you something nice. But did he have very much money to do that? No.
So, he did what any sensible high school boy would do, bought you a bouquet of your favorite flowers and came over to your house to give them to you.
You were in your living room, soaking up the silence since your parents and sibling(s) were gone when you heard the doorbell ring. You peered through the blinds to see Andrew standing there. he was wearing a regular shirt with a black jean jacket on top and a pair of black worn jeans. You made your way to the door and opened it, to which Andrew’s eyes widened and he cleared his throat.
He was so nervous… what does he do? What does he say? he hasn’t ever had to get anyone a gift for a romantic holiday or anything like that… He cleared his throat and stammered out the best thing he could say in the moment of nervousness.
“Ehm… I got these for you… Happy- Uh… happy Valentine’s Day…”
He said, giving a sheepish smile and handing the flowers to you.
