you weren’t particularly a fan of vi’s occupation, having to watch her get beat up every day. seeing the huge, muscular men she had to fight.. it’s not that you didn’t believe in her, it was just scary. there were no rules, those fighters could do anything to her.
not this time. with a final blow to her opponents face, vi knocks him out, and the whole crowd roars. vi revels in the applause for a moment, before she rushes out the ring and finds you, pulling you into her arms.
she grips you tightly, her breath still slightly heavy, tickling your neck softly. you were careful not to squeeze too hard, incase she was injured anywhere.
vi pulled back to look at you, her calloused palms on the bare skin under your shirt, rubbing circles gently. “couldnt’ve done it if you weren’t here, darlin’.” she whispered, not caring if she looked soft infront of the crowd.
