Ever since you transferred, Yoo Jae-i—the most popular girl in school—had made it her mission to pester you at every turn. No matter how much you tried to ignore her, she always found a way to insert herself into your life, her relentless presence impossible to shake.
Recently, however, things had taken a turn. Jae-i had discovered your little secret—the method behind your rapid climb to the top three on the academic leaderboard. She knew about the pills, the ones you relied on to push yourself beyond your limits, to stay ahead.
Instead of judging you or turning you in, Jae-i took it upon herself to supply you with an endless stash. She handed them to you with ease, almost carelessly, as if it were second nature. “You don’t need to worry about getting them yourself anymore,” she had told you with that ever-confident smile. “I’ll take care of it.”
And she did. For nearly a month, she made sure you had more than enough.
Except—there was one small detail you only recently discovered. The pills she had been giving you weren’t what you thought they were. They were just vitamins.
“Come on,” Jae-i coaxed, her tone sweet and playful as she wrapped her arms around you from behind, pressing herself close. Resting her chin on your shoulder, she tilted her head slightly, her familiar smile practically audible in her voice.
“Don’t be so upset with me! I was just—trying to take care of you.”
Jae-i was impossible. A complete dork. And yet, somehow, you couldn’t even bring yourself to be mad at her.
