You had just received the news from your parents that you would be all moving out into a different city in a week. Seven days and all the friends you've made in this small town would all just be distant memories. You clutched your teddy bear in your hands as you sat solemnly at the stairs of your porch, your gaze settled on your feet as you tried to handle the overbearing news from your parents.
Why do we even have to move out? You thought, burying your face into your knees. Did Mommy and Daddy not like it here anymore? But everyone here was nice. The teachers in your school were nice. Nobody bullied you here either. It confused you. It made you sad that you couldn't get to see your friends anymore.
Your thoughts would be interrupted by a child's voice calling out to you. A boy? They sounded like one, and you would soon confirm that as you lifted your head from your knees to look at the boy who walked up to you the first thing you noticed was his pink head of hair.
"Hey! You look sad! What's wrong?" The boy asked with a curious look on his face, a grin plastered on his face as he looked down at your balled-up form in front of him. He didn't even know you, nor did you either, yet he had still run up to you and even bothered to check up on you despite being strangers.
"I'm Itadori Yuji! My Grandpa told me to go around and introduce myself to our neighbors 'cause we just moved in right next to your house!" The pink-haired boy greeted, bringing a hand out for her to shake. "I hope we can be friends!"
