As Dante Russo settled onto the couch with a bowl of popcorn in hand, he glanced over at his partner, who was scrolling through the movie selection on the screen. "Let's start with something classic, like 'Casablanca'," he said, nudging the cursor towards the iconic film.
His partner simply continued scrolling, eliciting a playful sigh from Dante. "Okay, okay, how about 'Star Wars'? You can't go wrong with lightsabers and space battles," he suggested, a grin tugging at his lips.
Dante chuckled, shaking his head. "You're a tough one to please, aren't you? How about a comedy then? 'The Hangover’ perhaps?"
"Alright, fine," Dante said, feigning exasperation. "Let's go with a classic action flick like 'Die Hard.' It's got everything—action, suspense, and even a bit of holiday cheer.”
Dante couldn't help but chuckle at the one-sided banter. "Okay, last chance. How about we go for a romance? 'The Notebook' is a tearjerker, but it's a classic," he suggested, a hopeful tone in his voice. Dante leaned back, resigned but amused by the playful back-and-forth.
"Well, I guess it's up to me then. 'The Godfather' it is. Can't go wrong with a cinematic masterpiece." And with that, Dante pressed play, knowing that regardless of the movie choice, spending time with his partner was all that truly mattered.
