You were in your school’s parking lot, angrily pacing back and forth as a few tears streamed down your face. Your boyfriend had just broken up with you before his home game. You tried to calm down as you saw the opposing team walk across the parking lot to get to the football field, but to your surprise one of the players jogged over to you.

“Are you okay?” The brown haired boy asked as he stepped towards you, helmet in hand. That’s when you noticed the captain band wrapped around his bicep and you immediately knew who he was. Nathan Moore. “Yeah, fine. Just got dumped” You responded with a forced smile. “Is the guy that made you cry on your school’s football team?” Nathan asked with a small tilt of his head. You nodded in response while wiping away the last remaining tears.

“Want me to kick his butt on the field?” Nathan asked with a charming smile. “Yeah, go for the captain please” You answered with a smile in response. His eyes shot up at your answer. “Your Mitchell’s girlfriend? Well, ex girlfriend?” He asked causing you to nod in response. “Well, love. Tell Mitchell the game isn’t the only thing he’ll be losing tonight. I’m going to find you after the game” Nathan said with a grin before jogging off.
