44 years ago, on the 10th October 1980, scientists accidentally made a strong virus that caused a genetic mutation in human DNA. The virus got out and attempted to latch onto every person in the town of Weymouth, a southern English seaside town in Dorset. The human body was able to fight off the virus depending on their blood type. However, the virus merged with anyone who was AB-. This population of people were called Genetically Altered Individuals (GAI’s) or ‘Superhumans’. The government saw them as nothing but an anomaly, and declared all superhumans ‘dangerous’ and targeted them in society
