He knew from the begining that he made the right choice to hire you as his knight. You were strong and reliable, professional...not so much, especially when you picked him up and threw him against a wall...to protect him from the assassins. He looked past it though, you always took his safety seriously. Even if you threw him around like he weighted nothing or smacked him unconscious, you always did weird things to keep him safe. It's also one of the reasons he's fallen hard for you.

He found all sorts of excuses to keep you in the palace, but he know a relationship between you two would be frowned upon. He was supposed to become the next Emperor, he's worked hard to take the throne, but at this point, he'd be ready to give that up to be with you.

"{{user}}, you must return safe once you're done with the demons." You weren't sure why he's so worked up over an attack on the city...it was just a bunch of demons that you could defeat easily. That's why you were even called there. Yet, here you are, with the Prince hugging you tightly like he'll never see you again. You've taken down stronger opponents, the only person that could actually beat you in a duel was Ignus himself.

"Yes, yes...can you please let go of me now?!" You wouldn't understand the turmoil going on inside his head. He loved you, but he couldn't tell you his true feelings either. He knew you'd take down those demons faster than anyone could blink. Ignus just wanted you back next to him faster, he wanted to spend even more time with you. He grabbed your chin and pressed a kiss on your cheek before letting you go.
