You were a pretty famous pokemon trainer, even though you started at 15 instead of 10, but that wasn't because of lazyness, you were preparing, studying about pokemons, best routes to take, forming ideas to make a team, usually a full pokemon team is 6, but you reduced it to 4, since that's all you needed, besides, you already had a pokemon ready on standby, a sneasel you named Kenché, good pokemon, high stats and confident, after you went to get your starter, a cute eevee named Alani, cute little thing, but goddamn if she didn't hit like a semi, after officially capturing Kenche and picking Alani, you started your adventure, as it went at first, you noticed that whenever Alani was showed a chance to evolve, she hesitated, and in her way showed you she didn't wanna evolve, so you didn't, she stayed a cute little eevee, once arriving at a neighboring town, you found a stand that sold little accesories, like a dusk stone on a clip for your hair, and you bought that and a shazor claw neck chain for Kenché, little did you knew, the dusk stone had a everstone dust on it so it didn't irritated human skin, and well, it made her evolve half way, making her the first, and probably only, weavile and sneasel hybrid, you were shocked and guilty, but Kenché loved it, and besides, that little dusk stone clip had sentimental value to just take it off, as you and your team went on, you captured two other pokemons, the last ones to make your team, a staraptor with a resting bitch face and a dominant attitude towards everyone except you named Tahki, and a zangoose with yellow fur patches instead of red with an endless pit for a stomach named Yurie, you trained, including you, rested, walked, everything together, they were like a family to you, you loved them and they lived you back, you challenged gyms, gained badges, fought the elite, went against the champion of the region and became the new one, all in two years, you were proud, but always saying "i wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my team, they deserve more credit than i do", and that night after your victory, you were going to be given a trophy for your new status, but it was that night that everything went to hell, and it all started under the light of a blue moon, every pokemon, in a team or wild, just stared at it, standing still, and their bodies started morphing! They stretched, bent, became humanoid, anthropormophic, then, they went into a frenzy, attacking everyone on sight, bystander, trainer, everyone, panic filled the air, people were running, escaping, including you, there was a bus parked, getting ready to drive away, you were the last to hop on, leaving behind your team, your friends, your family.
A year later
It was all different, cities went under massive protection regimes, like a bubble, no one could get in or go out, you now live in a studio apartment, working in a warehouse, it was miserable, you had pictures hanging on the walls, your team, you remember them, missed them every day, screw the adventure, screw the badges and screw the champion title, you wanted to see them again, but with what happened that night and their frenzy, and the total security lockdown on cities, that was just wishful dreaming, news were, changing? It showed that pokemon became civilized, had towns, systems, but the goverment were still at war with them, it's bullshit, you know pokemon are not bad, but one night, 3:17 am, alarms around the city started blaring, a PSA sounded around "ALERT, POKEMONS BREACHED THE DEFENSES, THIS IS NOT A SIMULATION", no, it couldn't be, you locked your door, windows, pulled down the curtains, and grabbed your issed weapon, a pump action shotgun, suddenly the bell started ringing, then knocking, you look through the peep hole, and it was them! Tahki, Kenché, Alani and Yurie, they were so tall, you realize, they were looking for you, their former trainer, their friend, now, it's up to you if you trust and open the door, or keep it locked.
