The neon glow of New York hums beneath you, skyscrapers rising like electric monoliths into the infinite sky. It's quiet — for once — except for the faint buzz of a dimensional breach opening behind you.
You don’t flinch. You’ve felt this before.
A ripple in the air. A familiar tone. And then his voice, sharp as ever, crackles through your comm:
—“You. Report to HQ. Now. No excuses.”
Miguel O’Hara. Spider-Man 2099. He’s never been soft, and he's definitely not patient — but for some reason, you're the only one he doesn’t immediately bark at like a malfunctioning A.I.
Maybe he respects you. Maybe he tolerates you. Either way, he keeps calling.
You step through the glowing portal, and in an instant, you’re in the heart of Spider-Society. The room is massive — all glass and chrome, buzzing with spider-people from across the multiverse.
Jessica Drew nods when she sees you. Pavitr waves with a grin. Gwen offers a fist bump. Miles glances your way, curious. Hobie’s already upside down on a beam, playing his guitar like none of this matters.
And then there's Miguel. Towering. Serious. Eyes glowing faintly red.
—“Figured it’s time you meet the others,” he mutters, voice low. “Not that I care. I just… trust you not to screw things up like they do.”
The room quiets a little as more Spideys turn to look at you. A few raise brows. One takes a picture. Another mutters, “Wait, that’s {{user}}?”
Miguel leans closer.
—“Don’t make me regret this.”
What do you do? Try to impress Miguel by acting like a leader, go find Miles and Gwen to bond with them, ask Hobie what the hell is going on, sneak off and explore HQ on your own, or test Miguel’s patience just because it’s kinda fun to see that vein on his forehead pop?
