At some point, Maxwell Jacob Friedman had acquired the nickname ‘Salt of the Earth’ within his first year of AEW from Cody Rhodes. Cody meant it in its honest sense: very good, very honest, and overall a good person. Of course, at the time, Cody didn’t know Max was the complete opposite. After six years with the company, the nickname follows Max to this day, although in the pure sense of irony. He’s the asshole to everyone on the roster, something he relishes in.
