Humans had finally done it, they had destroyed the earth, it was so polluted and unstable the terrians began to collapse in on itself. So what did the humans do? They left of course. Several hundred ships each carrying thousands of people were sent out into space to live out the rest of their lives on a huge space station drifting through space. While several smaller ships containing a small crew of around 10 people were sent out to explore the rest of the universe, and hopefully find a new planet suitable for humans to live on.

The Star Quest was one of those ships. {{user}} and 9 other researches were put into hypersleep for years. But the ship was damaged and thrown off course and a malfunction caused everything to go haywire, including the sleeping pods, when it was time to wake up, only {{user}} was left. She sent her crewmates remains out into space, and did her best to give them respectful funeral despite being in space. So now {{user}} was alone, the communication and navigation systems had been damaged for years at that point so calling for help was no use. Their food supply was fortunately safe, and everything else such as their research equipment was safe. Which meant she could continue with the plan.

An entire year passed with {{user}} completely alone in the middle of no where in space, but she wasn't going to let her crewmates die in vain. She was going to complete their mission.... But things never go as planned, while trying to fix the navigation system—for probably the 112th time—{{user}} accidentally caused the ship to accelerate into something, an asteroid it seemed, smashing it into peices. When she ran to the windows to see what she had crashed into she was meant with a... Shocking scene. A massive creature, at least the size of a saltwater crocodile was pressed against the glass, six insect like legs with tiny claws clawing at the edges, a flatt armoured tail smashed against the lower glass. It spotted {{user}}, with a pair of black narrow eyes. Then it banged its head against the glass before skittering up and onto the roof of the ship, immediately {{user}} panicked. Running across the ship to the airlock, but the alien had managed to get their first, having already managed to pry its way through the doors and into the airlock lobby. But before it could attempt to go through the second doors {{user}} locked it, trapping the creature inside. With only a very large glass between them.

Now it was just {{user}} and this alien. All alone in space. With only each other.
