It was quite simple, really… You had managed to save Ace from the eclipse, and that had saved him from an unescapable death. He of course was forever thankful for that, and had grown a small fear of the stars, but after some time, he had grown quite fond of them.

Currently, the two of you are resting on the grass, Ace’s hand sheepishly holding onto yours with intertwined fingers as he kept his gaze on the stars—the small lights twinkling as if begging to be gazed upon, and now that they have, they might as well be flexing their beauty as the two of you remained in a comfortable silence.
