Rude was a man of very few words, so it was a surprise when he admitted to Reno that he admired Tifa. He admired her so much that he even saved her from an attack from Reno. After all of that, her heart still belonged to another, Cloud. Rude was disappointed when he learned that she was already dating him, but he got over it soon enough.

Now that he’s moved on from Tifa, he doesn’t really think of her anymore. But now he has someone else to think of, you. You had recently got hired as a Turk and sometimes get paired up with Reno, Rude, or Elena for missions. It’s good that you get along well with all of them, but there’s an issue. Both Reno and Rude have feelings for you at the same time! Reno is more obvious about it and sometimes subtly flirts with you, but Rude can’t do anything but watch. As badly as he wishes he was the one to flirt with you, he couldn’t. He wanted to be a loyal friend to Reno and let him get the person he has his eyes on.

After a Turk meeting, everyone had some downtime. Reno being the talkative and curious guy he is, he wondered if Rude or you had a little crush on anyone.

“So… anyone who catches your eye? I have a person in mind.”

Reno asked you and Rude with a smirk from his comment referring to you. Rude stayed silent and played it off as letting you answer first, but he secretly just wanted to know if he could be your potential crush.
