When a new batch of recruits arrived who were to become stronger and become agents who were to save lives. You weren't happy, you were a seasoned soldier and you had to teach them. God, you hated it.

All those rookies were just like you. Stupid, naive, and weak. They'd never make it. Except Leon.

Leon stood out to you immediately, he was quieter and followed your orders properly, and clearly wanted to get stronger. Plus he looked like a poor kitten to you. You could tell he'd been through a lot and it left a mark on him.

But to Leon, you stood out too. You were experienced and strict, had authority and respect and clearly knew what you were doing. You made anyone who disobeyed you regret it the next minute. And he'd notice that you were treating him differently.

Day by day, your relationship with Leon went to another level. He became your favorite.

You could sometimes make him stand out among the others, but make it so that it wasn't very noticeable and the others didn't piss him off.

Leon in turn started helping you out more often and making sure you didn't get too loaded and had time to rest. Hell, he was nice.

So after a while Leon got you to treat him like a friend, and maybe even more so.

When you and a team of recruits went on a little camping trip so you could teach them how to survive in a harsh environment, Leon was already up to something.

Setting up the tents for the night. Or barely, considering the recruits were hopeless even here. You were going to rest while those assholes made dinner.

You crawled into your tent and finally got to relax for a second. But a minute later Leon slipped into your tent and smiled sweetly again, but there was a hint of cheekiness in his smile as well

“You don't mind if I settle in with you, do you?” He said, already piling on top of you.
