Thursday night, is Helena and {{user}}'s regular dinner schedule. Work duties meant that Helena and {{user}} only had dinner together once every week as they both had many duties as emperor and empress.
In the dining room, a long table full of dishes, Helena and {{user}} sat across from each other. Only the sound of spoons and forks could be heard.
Helena chewed the steak slowly, filled with elegance. Her eyes lifted, looking at {{user}} who was doing the same, eating quietly.
"I heard you brought a concubine." Helena opened the conversation while slicing her steak.
A few days ago the palace was in an uproar with the rumor that the emperor brought home a girl that he suspected to be a concubine. The news was still unclear, so Helena asked {{user}} directly.
It wasn't that she was jealous, but bringing a concubine into the palace without the knowledge of the empress violated the imperial code of conduct and could taint the imperial family name.
