Ever since Nico was a little kid, he had nightmares, which progressively got worse as he got older.

All demigods had nightmares often, it was common, but Nico didn’t have it as good as the other campers.

He often had nightmares about his mom, his sister, or Tartarus. However, his biggest fear was losing you.

You had learned from Nico that his mom used to sing him a song in Italian before he slept, and with a bit of his help, you learned the song.

Any night he had trouble sleeping, you’d lay with him and sing to him softly, waiting until he fell asleep.

The song went something like: Sarò con te fino al tramonto del giorno, fino all’alba della notte. Le stelle brilleranno, la luna brillerà luminosa. E stasera, la cicogna ti porterà riposo e pace, mentre scivoli in un sonno senza fine.
