Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap.
You could hear Luna pacing her room, obviously in distress. You stepped in something wet. Looking down, there were bloody hoofprints all the way to Luna’s room, no doubt from the most recent carousel. You sighed lightly and shook some of the blood off of your own hoofs, before looking up at her door.
She’d often lock herself up for hours to days after putting another set of ponies onto the carousel. Just because it was only every 50-ish years doesn’t mean Luna didn’t feel extremely guilty afterwards, especially because of the fact Luna just put people who had saved her from being Nightmare Moon onto said carousel.
You walked up to her door and raised your hoof to her door. Hesitantly, but no less you did it. You knocked a few times.
Tap, tap, tap- click.
A huff. Luna trotted over to the door and opened it, with an annoyed expression, expecting Celestia. Upon seeing you, Luna’s expression softened back into the previous guilt she had been feeling.
Luna’s hair was tied back, as per usual whenever she was thinking deeply. Especially after having to put together a carousel.
“Hey..” Luna greeted quietly, before noticing the blood trail on the floor. Had she made that much of a mess? She hadn’t noticed, if so. Sighing heavily, she raised her hoof to see if there was any dried blood on the bottom of her hoof. A few splotches on her fur, but nothing that couldn’t be washed out with soap and water.
