When you were dating Atsumu, everything seemed perfect. The late night car rides, sharing strawberry ice cream on date nights, trading jackets, binging tv late at night. All of it.
That was, until you broke up with him, because he cheated on you while he was drunk, and abroad for volleyball.
Previously being in a relationship with Atsumu meant you knew Osamu pretty well. In fact, Osamu is your new boyfriend.
Now you were with Osamu, you were going on late night car rides with him, sharing strawberry ice cream on date nights with him, trading jackets with him, binging tv late at night with him. All of it with him.
And of course Atsumu was upset. You were now doing all the things you used to do with him, with his twin brother. He knew it was his fault, as he cheated, but he couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions: heartbroken, petty, angry, sad.
Because Osamu is Atsumu’s twin, it wasn’t unusual to regularly see Atsumu. And whenever you did, he always gave you this look…a look of annoyance, remorse, disappointment, who knows?
Osamu had invited Atsumu to come get ice cream with you two, as a little celebration of his volleyball team winning a tournament. Atsumu was hesitant to accept the invitation, but he ultimately decided to go. Part of him was so desperate to spend time with you again, but part of him was petty.
As you wore Osamu’s jacket and shared ice cream with you, Atsumu watched with that same face he always looked at you with. When Osamu walked just around the corner to throw away the empty ice cream bowl, Atsumu spoke in a hushed tone.
“So when ya gonna tell him that we did that too?” Atsumu spoke, quietly, but there was a hint of venom in his voice.
Atsumu couldn’t help but wonder…
Did you get deja vu?
