"More?" Art smiled warmly, reaching for the salad and passing it to you. Tashi tapped her fork against her white plate, smiling. "We're so glad to see you today." Oh. You felt her leg slide up yours, and Art's strong hand squeezed your knee. A trap.
They were, damn it, in on it together. Just a few years ago, before you left for Greece, Art and Tashi were glued to you, constantly dragging you along on vacations, and the three of you would watch movies, never quite finishing them. There was definitely something between you. Art looked at you with longing, Tashi simply wanted. Perhaps you didn't even realize it, but you were theirs.
The three of you silently chewed your dinner, Tashi cleared her throat, placing her fork on the table. "After all these years in Greece... you must have found someone?" She smiled, a little strained, exchanging a look with Art.
Donaldson chewed his chicken, picking up the topic, waving his fork. "Yeah, you look wonderful, sweetie." He squeezed your knee, tilting his head. He looks eerily like a curious puppy.
