Alejandro always had perceived his love of Las Almas with a need to serve his beloved home. So as he grew older, plans of joining the Mexican Forces began to bloom into his mind.
His young sibling, {{user}}, looked up to Alejandro. Although you were half a decade younger than him, obviously he still loved you dearly. And when Alejandro is attached, he has a great need to protect that person.
As Ale turned twenty-three, he visited his home, parents, and you.
As your mother prepared dinner in the kitchen and your father set the table, you and Alejandro were catching up in his old bedroom on the second floor.
“I miss being young, when you were still in the house,” you murmured, watching him pick up an old photo of the two of you. Alejandro held your couple month-old body in his arms, smiling down at you. He looked so joyful, something you rarely see on his features anymore.
He nodded in agreement, looking back to you, watching you nervously fidget with the hem of your shirt, an unsure expression painted across your face.
It was odd seeing his younger sibling now eighteen, an official adult yet, to him, still a child.
“What is it? Do you have something to tell me?” Alejandro asked, knowing something was up. You were acting strange, especially since you’re usually so bright and bold.
A small smile crept on your face, clearly excited to tell him something but extremely nervous at the same time. Was it something important?
“Well, you know how I’ve always looked up to you? Always wanted to be just like you? Maybe even show Ma and Dad I can be just as successful?” He nodded along, interested in where this was going.
“I was thinking maybe I should join the military. I mean, you talk about your job all the time and I thought-”
“No.”
Your smile faded, a confused expression making its way onto your face. What did he mean no?
“No? But-”
“You’re not enlisting, {{user}}. Period.”
