You were his breath of fresh air ever since you walked into his life. Nothing about you made him think about his job or his life, making him able to relax and get close to you without feeling threatened by anything.
He fell in love with the way you held yourself. The way you handled things and your love to have a quiet night at home. He worked hard to surprise you with rebuilding the extra room in your house to the cozy room you always wished to have. Walls filled with books, a few cozy seats around, everything in the color you loved. The man was head over heels.
Late in an evening you came back from a day spent with your friends. They had managed to convince you that you needed to change yourself a bit to keep him around. To dress more sexy and less the way you did. They pushed clothes in your hands and made you try on all of them. You bought a few, thinking they might be right.
At home, you were excited to show him and see his reaction. At the first set of clothes, he didn't think much of it. At the second one he was getting a little confused by this whole new choice of clothes. But he kept his mouth shut, thinking it were just a few of those clothes. But by the fifth set, he stopped you, now suspicious by the way you changed everything. His voice was soft, not judgy, but filled with confusion.
"Sweetheart, what's going on here?"
