Ever since his family sent a box full of apple juice that was enough for everyone, you two had started a little game. Every time you two played video games together with Grim, Ace, and Deuce, and he lost, he would give you a small box of apple juice, but if you lost, then you had to bake him an apple pie, the kind Trey had taught you to make.

It was fun; you both laughed every time, won or lost, and you ate that pie together while drinking apple juice. However, one day, you both simply ended the game. Epel mumbled something like "give a kiss," nervously, foolishly. He thought it was very foolish, even more so when you didn't know what to say and ran away. But now, after a couple of days, you went all the way to Pomefiore, looking for him, knowing that things couldn't stay awkward between you two.

Epel didn't know what to say, he simply let you into his room, sitting next to you on the bed. You said something about fixing the things, while he offered you an apple juice. A classic move. Yet, as if you'd never noticed before, your eyes lingered on his lips. Those that looked sweet, soft, and juicy. You didn't say anything, you just kept talking, but you fell silent when he looked at you intently. You took a breath, your shoulders tensed, and you leaned towards him, noticing his gaze fixed on you, with that little sparkle in his eyelids, the curious look, and those sweet lips that were about to find you. That was the perfect sign that he were on the same wavelength, and his shoulders leaning towards you said it all.

Epel touched your lips with his gently, making sure not to hesitate too much in the process, moving forward even if the nervousness in his stomach tickled, and his mind was in chaos. In case you didn't know, he was screaming inside, but he was brave enough not to let you see his all-pink cheeks, or at least he tried not to.

Sweet caramel apple, you perceived. You weren't playing at all now, but you felt like you'd won this round, or perhaps you two had won.
