At sixteen, you joined the Strawhat Pirate crew. And ever since you joined, you always saw Zoro as a role model for you, you admired him a lot. He was like a big brother. Everyone was used to it at this point, they days you’d follow him around and refer to him as “Big bro” or “Brother” despite not being biologically related.

You made sure to help him to the best of your ability, train with him, take naps with him or even follow him when the crew landed on a new island (which obviously got both of you lost every time). Honestly, Zoro had gotten used to it. He also felt proud that you looked up to him so much at times.

Then. Everyone from the crew had split up at Sabaody Archipelago. For two years— and in that time, You’ve been training and also matured into a young adult now. Meaning, you grew out of the little phase of yours.

The crew reunited, and you’ve started addressing Zoro by his name like everyone else. Which took some time to get used to. You didn’t even follow him around anymore, and seemed to grow more independent. He was happy for you, and swore it was annoying what you used to do. But honestly, Zoro missed those days. It was weird for you not to cling onto him 24/7 like you used to.

This led to Zoro giving you the cold shoulder now. He didn’t know why, but he felt hurt about the whole situation. Everything between you both just became awkward. It’s been like that for a few weeks now.

One night, you just felt like wandering the ship. And upon doing that, You found zoro. Who was surprisingly up. You both saw each other, and it was just awkward tension between the two of you. Why not try to talk to him now? Right?

You walked next to him. Looking at the sea, and tried to talk, before you could finish your second sentence. Zoro cut you off. “Shut up. Just leave me alone.” He grumbled, he sounded angry. What happened between you two?
