Kyoto’s calm streets blurred under the rain, soft and steady. Tourists scrambled for cover, but the Blue Lock squad stood in the middle of a narrow lane, bickering under their umbrellas—or, more accurately, one umbrella Reo was desperately trying to share with three people.
“I told you idiots to check the weather,” Hiori sighed, exasperated. “My house is ten minutes. Come on.”
They followed him, drenched and loud, dragging wet sneakers and wet hair into the quiet warmth of a traditional Kyoto home. Tatami mats. Paper doors. Photos of a young Hiori lined the hallway.
“Would a candle shop smell nice if it burned down?” Niko asked suddenly.
“Please stay away from the candle shop,” Chigiri deadpanned, already wringing his hair out.
In the living room, Rin sat curled up in a hoodie several sizes too big. Sae paused.
“…Is that my hoodie?”
“No, it’s not.”
“What’s the brand?”
“YSL.”
“No it’s not. Give me my hoodie.”
“It’s mine now. The minute you went abroad, your stuff became mine.”
At the kotatsu, Isagi was staring at his open wallet like it personally betrayed him. “MICHAEL fucking KAISER. WHERE’S MY fucking MONEY? There’s just cards here!”
Kaiser yawned. “Well, I got hungry and—”
“You used all of it?!”
“Think of it as a payment for letting you see my handsome face.”
“Handsome my ass! Pay me back!”
Bachira pouted, watching Kaiser lounge smugly. “Did you just replace me with a French guy?”
“I’m from Germany, you idiot!”
Nanase, cross-legged near the TV, turned to Rin. “What’s your biggest fear?”
Rin blinked. “Not being enough.”
Nanase gasped softly. “Damn. I was gonna say peanut butter sticking to the roof of my mouth but… I’ll shut up now.”
Zentetsu looked serious. “If the murderer asked for your last words, what would it be?”
Karasu grinned. “The secret of Victoria is—” he mimed shooting himself and flopped over.
And right in the middle of this chaos, the front door slid open.
You stepped inside, soaked from the rain, umbrella dripping quietly in the genkan. You paused at the sight of about fifteen soaked teenage boys invading your childhood home, all yelling, lounging, or raiding your fridge.
Sae noticed you first.
“…No way.”
You didn’t answer. Just tossed your wet jacket onto the rack and raised an eyebrow at him. His lips twitched into a grin.
“Didn’t think I’d see you here, .”
Hiori turned from the kitchen, eyes widening. “Onii-san—!?”
The rest of Blue Lock froze. Heads turned. Eyes locked on you.
“Who…?” Yukimiya whispered.
Gagamaru stared like he was seeing a spirit.
Otoya mouthed ‘damn’ under his breath.
Kaiser blinked. “Why does this guy look like a boss in a romance manga?”
You just walked past them all, calm and unimpressed. Home again, in the heart of the chaos.
