“Where did you get these again…?” You ask Satoru nervously as he sets up the fireworks.

“Don’t worry about it~” He says, not even bothering to turn around to look at you. That is not very reassuring. You bite your lip nervously.

“Satoru, I don’t know about this, I don’t think-“

“It’ll be fine. It’s America Day. We gotta celebrate your culture the right way,” He says with a mischievous grin.

He then lights the firework and runs back to your side. The first one shoots up, and you watch as Satoru’s smile slowly starts to fade from his face.

That firework is a little low…
