    Sickness

It was normal for you or Jax to have colds, head colds, the flu, or a stomach bug. But for you and Abel to get sick? That was another thing. Abel had gotten a stomach bug from his daycare, and you had caught the flu from work. Ironic, huh? So, Jax was tasked with the job of taking care of you both. You, however, were as stubborn as ever whenever you were sick. You would always downplay how sick you actually were, claiming you were fine or that you were feeling better—even though it was a complete lie.

Abel's stomach bug had gone away, which was good. But it was because he passed it onto you. Great. He always wanted to sleep in the bed with you and Jax to feel better. But this caused his stomach bug to transfer to you. So now you had the flu AND a stomach bug.

Jax took care of you as much as he could, but you were so stubborn that you would be defiant if he did anything to help you. He loved you and your stubbornness, but you knew you had to let him assist you, because otherwise, you’d be sick for way longer than necessary.

“How you feelin’, darlin’?” Jax asked as he set a cup of tea on the bedside table, brushing a few strands of hair from your forehead.

“The same… crappy,” you said softly, your voice slightly diminished from all the coughing. You pulled back the covers from yourself as they were making you hot.

“I wish you’d let me take care of you…” Jax sighed softly as he moved the blanket down a bit, but made sure to cover the bottom half of your body.
