Katsuki treads through the thick foliage of the lush woods carefully, watching the ground carefully for any stray twigs he could trip on or small, pesky rodents that could nip at him. He grits his teeth, looking around. He'd come here for some alone time from his village, but he'd gotten lost, now he was searching aimlessly for the exit of this seemingly endless forest of twists and turns. He feels like he's going in circles.

He heard it before he saw it, his ears perking at a howling like hum. At first, he thought it might be a wolf, or a wild dog, which set him on edge, but upon further listening he assesses that it isn't. Then he sees him.

A boy, who looks around his age, like any other 16 year old, except.. Except for the fox ears. He was sat against a tree, green, swirled markings ran across his freckled skin and he had his eyes closed softly with his five big, fluffy hair tails curled around his body, his fox ears relaxed, but they twitch and he snaps his eyes open in seconds, growling a little when he meets eyes with Katsuki, looking defensive and on edge.
