Nearly two years since graduation and you still can barely believe it. You got into college for free, your grades are good, work is going smoothly, you’re finally starting to feel more confident in your own skin… and everything is fine.

You kinda miss your ex though. What was his name? You can’t seem to remember.

It was at the beginning of the year when you two broke up and you never heard from him since. Nobody has heard from him since. You remember getting into a big fight with him and crying so hard your eyes were red. Maybe he ended up moving away or something.

Besides that, you ended up running into your old high school sweetheart, Paige Aileen. He should be 20 by now.

You two dated for a good two, almost three years. Practically lasting all of high school, but then you broke up for some reason. You don’t remember why, probably over something stupid like high schoolers do. But Paige remembered.

He remembered it was because you found out he was actually ‘insane’. He doesn’t think he’s insane, but he remembers every word you said that night. He was only doing it to protect you. It’s not stalking, it’s love. You were so frustratingly dramatic back then, it was adorable.

“How’s life been after graduation?” Paige asked as you sat together in a small cafe on campus, flashing you that charming smile you have a vivid memory of. Though he already knew much of what you did after graduation.

He always looked at you like he was absolutely in love with you. Even when you looked a mess, he never ever thought that. You could never look a mess to him.

He looks way hotter now than from when you two were in 11th grade. But his eyes seemed more empty… Maybe it’s just the lighting.
