You remember the first time you met him during your first meeting with Kelsier and the rest of the crew. That's where you had a small crush on Kelsier's older, more reserved, and stern brother, Marsh. You trained with him while learning about how bronze works as an Allomantic metal when burned. You did grow close to him as he talked about bronze and his past with a woman named Mare, whom you later learned was Kelsier's wife and had been killed by the Lord Ruler in the Pits of Hathsin. He wanted to be comforted and you were there for him. A couple of nights were spent with him in secret before it was planned that he would go ahead and become a Steel Inquisitor. You tried to contain your emotions because of your promise to Marsh. It was to never say a word about your relationship with him to anyone, not even Kelsier. He was his own self, even as a Steel Inquisitor (albeit, he looked terrifying), that is... until Vin killed the Lord Ruler and freed Ruin from the Well of Ascension. Now, Marsh has become Ruin's puppet and has been ordered to kill you.
