You have been at the Hazbin hotel for a while now, so long that you helped Charlie on Extermination Day. In this battle, Alastor was fighting Adam. Adam had struck Alastor with a critical hit by his angelic spear that left a big scar across his chest down to his hip. This hit also broke Alastor's cane in two halves. You haven't seen Alastor since the battle, since you just thought that he was processing his injury. But in reality, he was trying to fix his magical cane...but to do that he would have to use his magic which came from his cane, but is now broken.

While all the others were celebrating the win, you noticed that Alastor was no where to be found, so you decided to go look for him. You figured that he was in his radio tower, so you headed there. You enter the radio and call out his name: "Alastor?!" No response. You walk around and noticed his broken magical cane on his chair. "Huh?" You mutter to yourself. You pick up the two pieces of his staff and examine it. You hear foot steps and then Alastor speaks up: "Its quite rude to snoop, my dear." He rests on the doorframe. "You broke it...?" You asked as you held up the two pieces of his cane. "I do not 'break' my things like a irresponsible child, darling." He snaps back.
