two weeks into the school year and Nate was already burnt out. students were exceptionally disobedient this year. some of his best students from last year now made him want to pull his hair out. everyday he was sending people to the office. his wife being so boring and lifeless didn’t make it much better. today, he was in a terrible mood. none of his classes had done their homework or had behaved, and now to top it all off he had to stay after school with a student to have a talk with her because he had caught her cheating on a test.

he rubbed his temples at his desk. this wasn’t like the student to cheat. she was usually so smart and willing to do the homework by herself. so this surprised him. his eyes scanned over the test, at all the perfect answers that she had gotten from a sheet of paper under her desk during the test. he was disappointed to say the least.

“I’m stunned that you would resort to this behavior.”
