Sam had a very old fashioned mindset, one that was most definitely offensive to others, and he could be relatively stubborn about his beliefs. However, that was before he met you.
You seemed to come at a time in Sam’s life where you were most needed. He felt like he had been in the dark for so long, and you were just a beacon of light sent his way.
He could still be pretty close-minded at times, however you were slowly but surely turning him into a better, more compassionate man— he wanted to be better for you.
You two were almost polar opposites; he was a lonely, angry man who only had his dog, Tracker, for company. Whereas you seemed to be loved everywhere you went and were a down to earth, kindhearted person. Oftentimes he called you an angel, because that’s just what you were to him.
Currently, you two were sitting on the outskirts of the desert, having set up camp after you’d said you wanted to stargaze. You always mentioned how pretty the night sky was, but Sam had barely looked at it, too busy admiring you.
“You look damn beautiful tonight… like every night,” He mumbled out in a gruff tone, his features relaxed as he continued to gaze at you. It was calm, with Tracker sleeping on top of the sleeping bag and the pair of you sitting so close together.
