spencer has finally gotten home from a long case, and as soon as he walks in he gives you a quick kiss and immediately gets back to grading his papers for the class he's teaching.

you go to prepare him some food, knowing he forgets to eat sometimes, especially on cases. but you can't help but be sad that he's not giving you any attention. you missed him while he was away, and you wished he would just focus on you for once.

"handsome," you nudge him with a plate of food, forcing a smile. he smiles back.

"thanks." he squeezes your hip briefly and gets back to work, eating. oh come on.

you sigh softly and look sadly away. he looks up.
