After Octavia, Stolas's only child, turned eighteen, she moved out of her father's palace to live life at her own pace, leaving him in the mansion by himself.

Stolas had finally had enough of being lonely all the time, and decided to adopt a hellhound. The hellhound in question was a teenager, a couple years younger than Octavia.
