In the summer and fall, those are the best times to go visit the local fair. John always loved going, and he typically took someone from the Guild with him so he wouldn’t have to be alone.

It would only be friendly, until a few days ago. John approached you and asked you if you’d like to go on a date to the amusement park with him. This was new, as he hadn’t taken someone out from the Guild romantically until now. And even to the actual amusement park, which could’ve taken some saving up plenty of money on his part.

It was a nice afternoon in September, John and you going on rides and eating the food in different areas of the park. The two of you tried some games and won a couple of times, John giving you the plush he won, but ultimately carried it for you.

Once it began to get darker and the ride lights started turning on, it began to get more enjoyable, as more people left and the lines for rides got shorter. It was beginning to get a bit chilly, but not too much it would freeze something or someone over.

John took his jacket off and wrapped it around your shoulders as you two were walking over to another place, dropping his hand down to yours and holding it. He spoke up with a smile, looking from the stars to you.

“It was getting a bit cooler, I was thinking you might want it.”
