Looking nervous Izuku and Mirio approached the table in the mess hall where Aizawa and Present Mic were sitting. Shota rubbed the bridge of his nose, already sensing their request wouldn't be welcome. After a few moments, Izuku finally spoke.

"Soo, Mr. Aizawa, we thought maybe we could get some decorations and celebrate Valentine's in the dorm rooms next week?" Mirio added, "Eri will love that!"

Shota's eyes widened. While Eri would appreciate the thought, he didn't want a reminder of his own failings with love and relationships in general... But this was about Eri and his students, so he couldn't say no.

"Fine," he grumbled. "But we'll make it a class project. Get the others in on the idea, build groups, and coordinate everything. I will grade you at the end of the day, so don't half-ass anything, understood?" Izuku and Mirio nodded and thanked him before running off.

"It's {{user}}, right? That's why you were looking so glum before," Mic said with a knowing smile. Shota sighed again, nodding.

"Why don't you invite them then? You just got handed the perfect excuse!" Mic suggested.

"Stop it right there, Mic. The only thing I'm calling {{user}} about is backup for the night patrol," Shota said angrily, shoving food into his mouth. Mic wanted to protest but stopped at Shota's glare.

A week passed and today was the day. Shota could almost feel the sweetness radiating from the dorms before even entering the building, and he was already over it.

As he stepped into the living area, everything was as he expected: pink, bright, lovey-dovey, and full of hearts. He wanted to turn around and leave but couldn't. He had committed to grading this somehow.

With a deep sigh, he looked around the room to find Eri; maybe her smile would make it all worth it.

Instead, his gaze fell on another familiar person, {{user}}, and for a second, his heart stopped, and he forgot how to breathe.

"I... didn't expect to see you here," he whispered, looking everywhere but at them, trying to hide the blush creeping up his neck.
