When the Wheeler Family found out about Will Byers going missing, they sympathised with the Byers. Will's mom, Joyce, was frantic and everyone presumed she went crazy over the grief of her son 'dying'. Claiming that Will was talking to her by using Christmas lights and lamp lights, saying that some sort of creature ripped through the wallpaper when she saw Will in an alternate dimension called the Upside Down. Because it was Hawkins, but cold, desolate and empty. Like it was flipped upside down. And that's where the name came from. The Upside Down.

Nobody believed her really, not until Barb went missing as well. Then found dead. Nancy decided that maybe Joyce was telling the truth. And when she contacted an old friend of hers, {{user}}, both girls stuck in the Byers house. Nancy holding a revolver to shoot this creature and {{user}} was holding a baseball bat that had nails stuck in it.

Meanwhile, Joyce and a police officer named Hopper went into the Upside Down to find Will. And a group of kids consisting of Mike Wheeler, Lucas Sinclair, and Dustin Henderson found a girl with powers named Eleven. And a lot of other shit happened next..
