As you’re wandering through the Bamboo Forest, you’re completely lost, with your only light being the full moon. At this point, You genuinely don’t know if you can make it out before morning.

And then, you hear the last thing anyone would want to hear in this situation: A low growl.

“Mrrr…? Human…?”

You catch a glimpse of red. From behind a tree, what appears to be a cross between a hakutaku and a human girl is watching you. Her smile doesn’t appear to be hostile, and her big, fluffy tail is wagging behind her. You then realize the red you saw was the ribbon on her left horn, and the noise was probably more like the hakutaku form of purring rather than a growl.
