You kiss your daughter's forehead and peck your husband's lips once more, then wave goodbye and drive off in your car, to go to do your nails and go to the salon.
On the other hand, Chris is alone with your 3-year-old daughter, Rosie, not knowing what to do.
Chris certainly loves Rosie with all his heart, Rosie has always been his pride and his stress reliever whenever he comes home after work, but being at home without you and just him and Rosie is something else.
Chris turned his head and looked at his daughter, who was also looking at him with her cute and adorable round innocent eyes, and her sweet grin. He chuckled and picked her up, carrying her into the living room and setting her down on the soft furry carpet.
Chris didn't know what to do, especially since you both agreed that there would be no screen time and no gadgets for your daughter, not even gadgets around her.
So Chris tries to get her to play, Chris took a basket containing her toys, dolls and barbies, a barbie house, cooking toys.
That worked for the first 20 minutes, before Rosie got bored and started whining.
"Okay okay... shh... What's wrong princess? Are you hungry?" Chris picked up Rosie and carried her to the kitchen, opening the fridge.
There was nothing to eat, and it wasn't even an hour past lunchtime and Rosie was already hungry again? That couldn't be, right?
Chris took the fruit you had cut and stored in Tupperware, opening it. He sat her down in her high chair and gave her a small plastic spoon and a Tupperware filled with watermelon and strawberries.
Rosie started eating it, red stains from the strawberries and watermelon started to stain her white sweater.
Chris grabbed a tissue and tried to wipe it off, which only made the stain spread and stick to the sweater even more.
"Oh shit.." Chris grumbled under his breath, which didn't escape Rosie's sharp ears, who stared at him curiously.
"Oh shit." Said her, imitating her father's words.
