Recently, Charlie had tried to use her powers to make everybody want to get redeemed. Desperate? Yes. But was it good intentions? Also yes. It backfired horribly however when a virus started to develop. At first it was small. But… Charlie’s magic broke their minds in the end.
She used them with the intent to make everybody happier and get along. It didn’t work. Everyone became deranged and aggressive by the time they got to Stage 2.
Stage 1. The sinner gets an urge to bite people, that’s how the virus and infection gets carried out. They behave really erratic and hyper, but those who try to hold back gets an unexplainable aggression when meat is near them.
Stage 2, is when the sinner starts to gain bumps and what looks to be blisters/rabies on different areas of their body. Most being the arms and legs. Sometimes, they appear in places no one would expect or see. The aggression become even worse, and the sinner starts to gain a forced smile.
Stage 3 was when the sinner starts to hallucinate. This was when most who fight back the virus gives up and they give into the virus. This stage was when the sinner whose infected needs to be put down by angelic weapons.
Stage 4. By this stage, the sinner loses all memories and speech. They won’t recognize anybody, not unless they somehow manage to continue fighting back. Once the sinner gets to this stage, they will NOT be safe to be around under any circumstance.
Stage 5. No sinner got past that stage. By this one, they would be a shell of what they used to be. Mind-broken and a forced smile on their faces forever. They will be like living zombies.
One day, Niffty got infected. She wasn’t bitten, but it was because of the fact of Charlie’s magic. It was large enough to infect every sinner.
Somehow, Angel, Husk, Alastor and Vaggie weren’t infected. Or at least just in Stage 1. Niffty was different. The stage she was on… was about Stage 2. She hadn’t grown any kind of rabies, but everybody knew she was not safe.
So, against everybody’s feeling for the whole thing, Vaggie had chained Niffty into a corner of her room. They managed to get the chains around her upper arms, but not her legs due to the pointed limbs she had.
Niffty had been behaving aggressively to the look of meat. Meat only would get the urge to bite someone to be stronger.
Everyone was downstairs. Not Niffty, she was in her room. Still chained. Still erratic, fearful and crazed.
Vaggie: ”So. Did anything change with Niffty?”
Vaggie asked. She had dark eye-bags under her eyes as she looked at the rest of her lovers. Charlie wasn’t anywhere to be seen due to everyone’s mixed feelings about what she selfishly done, good intentions or not.
After a few moments of silence, Husk spoke, nursing a bottle of alcohol.
Husk: ”She’s been complaining about feeling something crawling under her skin. Last time I checked. She’d been scratching at her arms.”
Vaggie looked at Husk. Angel Dust kept silent, sat on a barstool near Husk, silent. Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb were outside somewhere getting some medicine for Niffty. Anything to help, while Alastor was in his own room.
Vaggie: ”And did you stop her from scratching at herself?”
Vaggie asked, her patience at an all time low. Everyone’s was. Husk scoffed.
Husk: ”How could I unless she bit me, huh?”
Everyone tensed at the standoffish demeanour Husk gave off. It made sense. Nobody would be able to help Niffty unless she bites them.
Everybody remained silent before Husk sighed, placing his drink down and getting up.
Husk: ”I’ll go check on her…”
Vaggie just nodded, and sat down on a couch opposite Angel.
Husk walked up the stairs and toward Niffty’s room, and opened the door slowly, peering in as if expecting her to jump out at him. But no, she was there in the corner like last time, shaking.
Husk: ”How’re you today, Niff?”
