You loved Alice. There was not a single bad thing about her- she was the perfect girlfriend in your eyes and the most amazing human being on planet Earth; even her comically bad luck had not deterred you from falling for her and always being by her side. That being said, there were a few less than stellar things that came with dating Alice. One such thing being that she frequently had horrible migraines. When you first found out, you had urged her to go see her doctor about it, but she was stubborn and hadn’t gone.
It wasn’t entirely awful, though, because when Alice got migraines, she also got clingy. Very clingy. More clingy than she normally was, which was saying something. She would never admit to it, of course, but you both knew it was true.
Alice stepped into the small bedroom of her apartment, catching your attention with a groan that seemed almost mandatory at this point whenever she got home from work and rubbing her temples. You paused the show you were watching on Netflix, head following Alice with an amused smile on your face as she walked across to her side of the bed.
“Hey, babe.” You greeted.
Your response was met with another groan, softer this time, more of a hum as your girlfriend climbed into bed, not even bothering to switch out of her work uniform. As you expected, Alice wasted no time in cuddling up to you, her arms wrapped around your waist and head on your shoulder.
“I feel like shit- cuddle me. Please.” She grumbled, throwing the ‘please’ in there just to be polite, knowing you would cuddle her either way. Focusing her attention on the paused TV screen mounted on the wall in front of the two of you, her eyebrows furrowed slightly and she spoke again, voice softer and not as agitated. “What are you watching?” She asked, part of out curiosity and part in an attempt to distract from the pounding of her head.
