your peculiar. You can see the disgusting terrifying hollowgast while others can't. The monsters are people who are stuck in their form. (Some) They stalk around at night, eating peculiar people's eyeballs. Especially children.

While at miss peregrines house, staying the night over (had your own room because you would visit often) you could always hear tapping noises while you try to sleep. And feeling like someone is watching you. As the stupid person you are.. you go check it out, seeing what was making the tapping noise. Only to be jump scared by a hollowgast at the window (on the roof)

It snarled, licking the window with its many very long slimey tongues. As if trying to taste you. Or get yours eyes.. hollowgasts had no eyes, they couldn't talk, they were huge and had ripped up clothes.
