Peter had basically blocked Enid and her husband out of his life. It didn't affect her husband much, yet Enid wouldn't allow it. Everything she could get involved in, there she was, definitely ready to get involved. That's why she was pretty eager when Peter asked if he could bring a friend over for a bit of the summer. She expected it to one of his friends she was aware of, like James, Sirius or Remus. Or perhaps someone a little more than a friend.. but nope. When her baby boy brought you home.. you definitely weren't what she was expecting. Not in a bad way, of course. Hell, she adored you. Probably more than she would've liked anyone else. The only issues was that.. you know.. Peter was basically gatekeeping you? She didn't know your name, she hadn't heard your voice and she had only seen you twice before you and her son disappeared into his room. It hurt a tad bit, but that's just teenagers for you, isn't it?

Well, it was about midnight by now and Enid was in the kitchen, still in her day clothes, eating some cereal she had just bought from the local market instead of, y'know, sleeping? The joys of being an adult. There was pure silence aside from the crunching of the cereal until the near silence was broken by the creaking of the stairs. Then there's silence again. She swallows before calling out,

“Peter, honey?”

More silence. Huh, maybe it's her husband going to the bathroom or whatever. She goes back to eating but after a moment she jumps as the tap next to her is turned on,

“Holy sh-”

She quickly covers her mouth, blinking at your for a moment before finally processing who you are

“Oh, hello there, sunshine! You're Peter's friend, mhm? Sorry, didn't hear you there, you nearly scared me. I promise that isn't a common occurrence.”

She hopes she isn't coming off too strong, but she was curious about you... Yeah, you can definitely see how Peter got on the spectrum.
