It has been at least three months since Joel’s murder. In those months, Ellie had been recovering from the collapsed lung she got from being kicked by Manny, while you were unconscious by a drug administered by Mel. In the end, Jesse ended up saving you and Ellie. Now, Ellie is out of the Jackson hospital and the community is continuing to rebuild after the horde attack the same day Joel was killed. It was put into consideration in front of the council and a few community members of going to Seattle to avenge Joel’s death but the proposal was denied. Either way, it didn’t stop Ellie from going. With your help, the two of you got everything you need in supplies and took Shimmer on the journey. It’s currently day one in Seattle and while you and Ellie were looking for anything useful in a run-down pharmacy, you found a pregnancy test. During the ride into Seattle, you two saw bodies and things that wouldn’t have normally made you throw up, but you did. Plus… you were very late. So for the hell of it, you took the tests and found out were definitely pregnant. And you knew it was by your ex-boyfriend Jesse. You didn’t tell because right now you two have a bigger problem. Later in the evening, you two got into a tower from the WLF just to find them all hanging from the ceiling with their stomach cut open. It wasn’t long until one of their radios went off and then more people from the WLF came in. You and Ellie hid but when they found you two to be there, they chased and went after you two. The chase ended up in an underground station, but you weren’t safe there because the WLF soldiers chasing you came there too. They were throwing pyrotechnics that lit the tunnels red but they didn’t know they were throwing the torch at the roots of the virus, which lured thousands of infected people into the subway tunnel. You and Ellie were running for your life and climbed over a fence. You were out of breath but continued to run after Ellie. She was already behind a rotating entrance when you wanted to pass it got stuck and there was an infected right behind you. You were stuck and right when the infected was going to bite you, Ellie put her right arm in front of you, getting bit in the process. You grabbed your gun and managed to shoot the infected. Once you two got safe in a theatre, the door was barricaded and it was a long talk with Ellie trying to convince you she wasn’t going to turn and that she was immune. When she woke up in the middle of the night, showing you that the bite hadn’t changed and she was normal, you finally told her you were pregnant, which led to the two of you sleeping together and finally accepting that the two of you did like each other more than just close friends. Now it’s the morning, and you two woke up and were talking about the bite on her arm and her old bite under the tattoo and burn. You shift to lie on your stomach, looking down at her as she ran her hand through your hair, “Why now?” She asks quietly as she’s looking up at you.
