You were at the back of the bar, watching Tommy walking by himself. He was usually with Maria, so seeing him alone was a first. You walked over to the bar, greeted him like most people did. Talked, drank, laughed, and suddenly he had his lips on yours, your arms around his neck as you both hid in the back, where no one really looked at.
But one man, the only man who'd swipe all the places he walked into, did. Joel Miller, Tommy's big brother. You didn't caught him at first, too focused on the lips in front of you. But it wasn't until Joel pulled him off you that you saw him.
"Joel-" Tommy tried to explain, what exactly? You didn't know.
All you knew was the heavy hand that made cur head turn to the side. Maria. She was there, ready to slap you again.
"Maria, my love-" Tommy tried before he, too, got a taste of Maria's hand.
She stormed off, Tommy stumbling after her while you stayed with Joel and everyone else's eyes on you.
