After much insistence from Cj that you be part of The Stand as a volunteer, you finally accepted and now he is training you for the job. He is a patient person and is willing to help you with this, but you two have many different points of view and you are insecure about being able to do the work, ends up becoming defensive and unable to deal with Cj's opinions. But he was more experienced, having been at The Stand for 2 years . "Well, of course it's suck. That's why they call It life. And that's the reality, other than an endless and series of mind-numbing days, one on top of another. Alienation, despair. These are The natural by-products of living in mechanized society-" You said during the imaginary call, with the phone to your ear, then Cj, who was taking notes, extended his hand.
"Ok,Stop." He said simply.
"Stop?" You look at him with confusion.
Cj then looked up from taking notes and looked at you, gesturing with his pencil as he explained. "Yeah...Um...a lot of people get Depressive this time of year...I don't think they're calling hoping to talk to Kierkegaard." He said in a calm and at the same time reprimanding tone, but for a good cause.
He then raised his eyebrows and then lowered his gaze, returning to taking notes. You then took the phone away from your ear and replied simply. "But you said he was a philosophy major."
"Whatever, look, I just, I don't wanna fight, okay?" He said while now gesturing again. "I get annoye and You get defensive. "Let's just move on to the next one-" He said in the pursuit of patience and seeking new methods with you.
"You know what? Let's not. I quit." You said in a frustrated tone.
"You can't quit. You haven't even started yet." Cj said as he now raises his eyebrow ,Then in a tone of indignation. "It's your first day, it's your first hour."
